John & Stina Dufour

John & Stina DufourStina is a volunteer staff member with Graduate Christian Fellowship at New York University. She was born and (mostly) raised in Chicago, Illinois. She moved to New York City in 2009 to pursue her Master’s degree at NYU. She became involved in Graduate Christian Fellowship first as a student, and then (because she couldn’t get enough!) a volunteer staff member. She earned her Bachelor of Arts with majors in Sociology and Scandinavian Studies from North Park University (Chicago), her Master of Arts in International Education from NYU Steinhardt, and now works for Steinhardt Global Programs.

John is a volunteer staff worker with Graduate Christian Fellowship. Growing up in San Francisco, John attended UC Berkeley where he became plugged in to the undergraduate InterVarsity chapter, eventually becoming a Staff Intern following graduation. He then moved across the country in 2008 to earn his Masters in Social Work at NYU, joining GCF as a student leader. Seeing the ways God moved through his experiences at GCF (including meeting his wife, Stina!), John continues to be committed to the ministry through his volunteer support. John currently works as a school social worker in East Harlem, attending Trinity Grace Church (Park Slope) with his wife Stina where they actively lead a small group and the church hospitality ministry.

Stina and John live in Brooklyn where they are active in the leadership community of Trinity Grace Church (Park Slope). Since she works on campus, Stina loves grabbing lunch or coffee with students. You can read more about her work here or send her an email at John loves to grab a meal and chat about the graduate school experience. You can definitely reach out and email him at
